David John Rudolph Ohnstad – May 2012 Student of the Month

David Ohnstad, son of Daniel and Marie Ohnstad was selected as Grantsburg Rotary Student of the Month.

His most influential teacher is Mr. Berg. He enjoys basketball, football, soccer, fishing, hunting, scuba, weight lifting, working on the farm and youth group. His school activities include basketball, football, soccer, Link Group, Scuba Club, Summer Research and he is the Senior Vice President.

David plans to attend St. Scholastica and pursue a job in the medical field.

Daniel Larsen – April 2012 Student of the Month

Daniel Larsen, Rotary Student of the MonthDaniel Larsen, son of Kevin and Terri Larsen was selected as Grantsburg Rotary Student of the Month.

His most influential teacher is Mark Johnson. Daniel’s hobbies and interests include sports (basketball, football, soccer, snowboarding), hanging out with friends and church activities. He is on the math team, involved in Academic Decathlon, and he plays basketball and football.

Daniel plans to attend University of Wisconsin – Stout and hopes to become a Plastics Engineer.

Mathew Swenson

Mathew Swenson, Rotary Student of the MonthMathew Swenson, son of Dallas and Patti Swenson, was selected as March’s Rotary Student of the Month.

His most influential teacher is Ms. Benge. Mathew enjoys weight lifting, singing, church youth group, Sunday School, etc. His school activities include choir, assistant 7th and 8th grade football coach, track and field (just the field part!)

Mathew’s hopes to become a pastor eventually, but his current plan is to attend River Falls and then attend a seminary school.

Lucas Henneman – February 2012 Student of the Month

Lucas Henneman, son of John and LaRita Henneman, was selected as February’s Student of the Month.

His most influential teachers are Mr. Koenen and Mr. Berg. Lucas’s interests and hobbies include music (guitar, banjo, harmonica and singing), hunting and reading. He enjoys choir, vocal, jazz travelors, jazz band, filming for basketball, National History Day.

Upon graduating from Grantsburg High School, Lucas plans to attend UW Eau Claire.

Isaac Peterson – January 2012 Student of the Month

Chad Lunning, Rotary Representative; Isaac Peterson, Student of the Month; Ron Nevin, Isaac's most influential teacher.

Isaac Peterson, son of Scott and Debra Peterson, was selected as January’s Student of the Month.

His most influential teacher is Mr. Ron Nevin. Isaac’s interests and hobbies include snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. During school he enjoys band, pep band, marching band, link group and being a county board rep.

Upon graduating from Grantsburg High School, Isaac plans to attend UW Platteville to major in Mechanical Engineering.

 

 

 

 

Kali Fleischauer – December 2011 Student of the Month

Kali Fleischauer, daughter of Brad and Debi Fleischauer, was selected as December’s Student of the Month.

Kali’s most influential teacher is Mr. Matt Berg. Her hobbies include reading and painting.

Kali is involved in National Honor Society, Cross Country, Academic Decathlon, National History Day and Swing Choir. Her future plans, for now, are to attend the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse but is hoping to hear back from UW Madison’s pre-med school.

Gabrielle Witzany – Student of the Month

November 2011 Student of the MonthGabrielle Witzany, Student of the Month

Gabrielle Witzany, daughter of Chris and Melody Witzany, was selected as November’s Student of the Month.

Gabrielle’s most influential teacher is Keith Lehne. Her hobbies and activities include volleyball, fast pitch, swimming and tubing on the lake.

She has been a class officer for three years, involved in National Honor Society, works with younger volleyball girls on their skills, involved in LINK Group for two years, involved in the National Young Leadership Society for the past six years.

Gabrielle plans on attending the University of Minnesota, Duluth next year. She will decide between being a nurse practitioner or a public relations specialist. She loves the campus at Duluth and the town.
